Phivolcs recorded a 5.0-magnitude earthquake in Surigao del Sur in the first hour of the morning following midnight, March 1, 2024, the state’s earthquake bulletin shows.
The earthquake was tectonic that occurred 10 kilometers deep northeast-southeast of Marihatag at 1:25 a.m.
Aftershocks are expected, the earthquake bulletin indicated issued on March 1, 2024, at 1:30 a.m.
