The country will celebrate February 24 special nonworking day as declared.
President Ferdinand E. Marcos, Jr. has declared February 24, 2023, a special nonworking day throughout the country, stated in the Proclamation No. 167 signed by the president on February 23, 2023.
The Proclamation also stated that “pursuant to the principle of holiday economics, the celebration of EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary may be moved from February 25 (Saturday) to February 24 (Friday), provided that the historical significance of the EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary is maintained.” In effect, February 24, instead, is declared special nonworking day.
