A magnitude 5.0 earthquake in Batangas was recorded on Friday the 13th morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
A tectonic earthquake of magnitude 5.0 with a depth of 002 kilometers west of Calaca City, Batangas occurred at 8:24 in Friday morning of October 13, 2023. Shocks are felt in some parts in Metro Manila. Damage and aftershocks are expected.
As of 9 a.m., aftershocks are felt in Candelaria, Zambales with a magnitude of 3.6 and in Mabini, Batangas with 1.8 magnitude, Phivolcs-DOST tweeted.
