A 5.1 magnitude earthquake in Camarines Norte hits at 6 a.m. today, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs). It has a tectonic origin with 001 kilometer (km) depth of focus located 24 km northeast of Tinaga Island (Vinzons), Camarines Norte.

Shocks are also felt in various places in Metro Manila like Pasig and Marikina. Reported intensities are recorded in the following places:
Intensity IV – Capalonga, Camarines Norte;
Intensity II – Goa and Naga City, Camarines Sur; Calauag, Quezon Province;
Intensity I – Cainta, Rizal
